Questions
Which one should I pick?
Start with Lite if you’re learning on your own or your class covers the core workflows: it practices in Intuit’s free sample company, so there is nothing to set up. Pick Standard if your class runs a full semester, or you want to build companies of your own, through the case study and capstone.
Do I need to pay for QuickBooks?
No. Lite uses Craig’s Landscaping, Intuit’s free sample company, so there is nothing to set up. Standard has you build companies of your own, so you need a QuickBooks Online account: your teacher can invite you to one from Intuit Education, or you can create a free Intuit Accountant Suite profile yourself.
What is the E-Learning Companion?
A printed copy of the book, to use alongside the online course. It is $60 with either edition and is not sold on its own. On a monthly plan it is its own order, placed right after your plan starts.
Can I move up to Standard later?
Yes, and your progress carries over. If you paid yearly, you pay only the difference. If you pay monthly, switch plans from My Account and the new price starts with your next month.
What if it’s not for me?
You’re covered by our 14-day refund policy: an eBook is refundable within 14 days if you have read no more than 30% of it. Printed books follow the publisher’s return policy. Start a refund from the contact page and choose “Billing or refund”.
