If your students' email never reaches them, you can make their accounts yourself and hand each one a password. It's for college and adult learners only.
Open Invite students, then Create accounts
On your class page.
Paste your class list
One student per line: their email, plus their name if you have it (the box shows examples). Up to 100 at a time, or upload a .csv file.
Choose Create accounts
Also email each student their password is off unless you tick it.
Print or download the passwords now
Use Print this list or Download CSV. They are shown once and can never be shown again.
The first time a student signs in, they choose Use password, enter their email and the temporary password, and set their own password straight away.
Who can read the whole book
If you have seats, each new account gets one. Anyone beyond your seats can only read the front matter and chapter 4 until they get a seat or their own plan.
Questions we get about this
- A student forgot their password. Can I reset it?
- No. If their email works, they can sign in with an emailed code. If not, contact us.
- Why was the whole batch refused?
- This happens on a class made with Use this for real while your instructor approval is still pending. Share the join code until you're approved.
