If a student can't see their QuickBooks score, your class probably has Smart grading turned off. The upload was graded, and the score is waiting for you to release it.
Open Needs you
Look for their upload with a Held grade badge.
Choose Release grade
They see their score straight away. See Hold grades and release them.
Fixing a check with Override doesn't release it. You still have to choose Release grade.
Not there? Check these
- An Upload failed row. The file couldn't be read, so there's no score yet. Ask the student to export it again from QuickBooks and re-upload, or use Re-read upload on their record.
- It was a quiz, not an upload. "My score is missing" often means a practice quiz. See How chapter quizzes are graded.
- They are not in your class yet. On By student, a student marked Invited or Awaiting approval has not joined.

- Does a held grade stop the student finishing the chapter?
- No. Uploads never count toward completion, so they can keep going.
- If I turn smart grading back on, are held grades released?
- No. You release each one yourself.
