You don't type a score for QuickBooks work. The score always comes from the checks. So you fix the check that's wrong, or use one of three buttons on the student's record.
Fix one check
Open the upload
From Needs you, or from the student's record. Both show the same table: what the grader checked, what the student's file had (with the key's value beside a miss), and the points. A missed check has two buttons. The book button, such as p. 119 · Step 7, opens the book in a new tab at the step that check grades. The QuickBooks button opens the screen where that figure is made, in your own company, not the student's. Your student sees the same two buttons on their result.
Choose Override on the wrong row
Pick Mark as matched or Mark as not matched. A reason is optional.
Save
The score and the pass result update straight away. Nobody is emailed.
To undo it, open the same check and pick the other verdict. The override covers this one check for this one student.
Other fixes, on the student's record

| Force pass | You want to give credit anyway. It records a pass at 100% (no Points). You can revert it. |
Before you override
Compare the key's value with what the file had. A near miss, like different wording, usually means the check is stricter than you would be. You can also download the file, or ask the student to export it again from QuickBooks and re-upload.

- Can I type in a score instead?
- Not for QuickBooks work. Override the checks, or use Force pass. Typing a score is for chapter exams: see Change a student's exam grade.
- The same check is failing for the whole class. What now?
- That usually means the answer key needs a look. Tell us, and override the check for each student in the meantime.
